This is an original 2010 theatrical teaser poster for RANGO, Gore Verbinski's Academy Award-winning animated Western starring Johnny Depp as the voice of Rango.

This is the memorable early “JOHNNY DEPP IS RANGO” character design featuring the wide-eyed green chameleon standing alone in the desert wearing his distinctive red Hawaiian shirt, with the simple “NEXT MARCH” release teaser at the bottom.

That distinction gives this poster a better collectible story than the later standard theatrical designs:

Rango follows an eccentric pet chameleon who finds himself in the desert town of Dirt and unexpectedly becomes its sheriff. This exact teaser artwork is documented in both configurations: Original Film Art has documented a single-sided 27x40 original teaser printed in 2010, while another original-poster dealer has documented the teaser/advance version as double-sided and rolled.

So the front artwork alone does not prove which one you have.

If the reverse has the lighter mirrored/reversed image, tell me and I would change the title to:

CONDITION

Excellent overall condition.

Looking closely at your photographs, this is a very clean example. The poster retains strong color, crisp imagery and an excellent central presentation.

I do not see any obvious:

• Pinholes
• Tape residue
• Writing
• Major tears
• Heavy creasing
• Significant image-area damage

There appears to be only minor rolled-storage/handling waviness along portions of the outer edges, consistent with an original theatrical one-sheet of this age.

I would comfortably present this as Excellent condition based on the photographs.

The metal pieces visible in the photographs are magnets used only to hold the poster flat for photography and do not pierce or damage the poster.

Please review all photographs carefully, as the exact poster shown is the poster the buyer will receive.
