This striking original theatrical movie poster for Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass features the film’s four costumed vigilantes together in one of the strongest designs from the original theatrical campaign: Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl, Big Daddy and Red Mist.

The artwork combines a deep black background with oversized yellow KICK-ASS lettering and explosive green, purple and red paint effects surrounding the characters. The bottom carries the memorable tagline:

“SHUT UP. KICK-ASS.”

Based on the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. comic series, Kick-Ass became one of the more distinctive comic-book films of its era, mixing superhero action, dark comedy and extreme violence with a deliberately irreverent tone.

The film developed a substantial cult following, with Chloë Grace Moretz’s Hit-Girl becoming one of its defining characters. The ensemble artwork shown here is particularly desirable because it combines the principal costumed characters in a single image rather than concentrating on only one character.

I would grade this Excellent, with presentation approaching Near Mint, but I would stay with Excellent in the customer-facing listing rather than overstate the condition.

The silver fixtures visible in the photographs are magnets used only to hold the poster flat while being photographed and do not puncture the poster.
