This is an authentic original 2000 theatrical advance movie poster for Bounce, featuring Gwyneth Paltrow in an extreme close-up portrait design. Poster archives document this campaign artwork and its “This October, fall in love with fate.” tagline as one of the film's official theatrical poster designs.

This is the companion character design to the Ben Affleck advance poster we just reviewed. Instead of promoting both stars together, Miramax devoted the entire sheet to Gwyneth Paltrow's portrait, with her name prominently placed across the upper-left and the oversized BOUNCE title at the bottom.

That makes this a stronger collectible for a Gwyneth Paltrow-focused buyer than the more common standard theatrical one-sheet featuring both Affleck and Paltrow.

CONDITION

GOOD+ / VERY GOOD DISPLAY CONDITION – ROLLED / NEVER FOLDED

This copy still displays very nicely, but it has more significant edge and corner wear than the Ben Affleck version, so I would be conservative and very transparent with the grade.

From the detailed photographs, I see:

  • Strong central portrait presentation
  • No fold lines
  • No visible pinholes
  • Excellent color and facial detail
  • Clean title and tagline area
  • Clean lower-left corner
  • Minor scattered surface/handling marks
  • Noticeable wear along the left edge
  • Small edge split/tear along the left side near the upper portion
  • Significant diagonal crease/tear damage at the upper-right corner
  • Small edge split/tear along the lower-right border
  • Minor edge waviness from rolled storage
  • No major damage through the central face artwork
  • No significant paper loss affecting the title or portrait

The upper-right corner is the main defect. I would absolutely photograph and disclose it prominently—which you already have done.

I would describe it to the customer this way:

This authentic original 2000 theatrical advance poster has been stored rolled and has never been folded. The central Gwyneth Paltrow portrait displays very well with strong color and no visible pinholes or fold lines. There is age-related edge and corner wear, including a notable crease/tear at the upper-right corner, a small edge split along the left border and minor lower-right edge wear, all shown clearly in the detailed photographs. These defects are primarily confined to the outer edges and do not significantly interfere with the central portrait artwork. Please review all photographs carefully, as they show the exact poster you will receive and form an important part of the condition description.

The silver pieces visible in the photographs are magnets used only to hold the poster flat while photographing it. They do not puncture the poster.
